Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead complex electrical system design projects focused on shipboard circuitry and circuit breakers, ensure compliance with industry standards, and deliver innovative solutions for Navy electrical systems and power distribution networks. Your expertise will drive the successful execution of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical projects, supporting the United States Navy initiatives.
Duties
- Engineering Analysis & System Design to include condition-based studies and electric plant architecture analyses of maritime environments.
- Advanced electronics Subject Matter Expertise in areas such as PLCs, VMEbus, VPX, FPGAs and circuit card design.
- Technical Documentation reviews.
- Execution of MILSPEC testing.
- Circuit Breaker maintenance.
- Oversight of industrial cleaning & restoration, shipboard installation, and fleet support of post-repair testing.
- Shipboard configuration management.
- Manage project scheduling, resource allocation, and technical documentation to meet project milestones efficiently.
- Conduct engineering troubleshooting for complex electrical issues in utility systems or construction environments.
- Extensive knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems, power electronics circuit design, and electrical system protection strategies.
- Hands-on experience with CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation) for schematics and system layouts.
- Familiarity with project management principles and scheduling tools to oversee multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical codes including NEC (National Electrical Code), NESC (National Electrical Safety Code), and local building regulations.
- Mechanical knowledge related to systems integration is a plus to enhance holistic project execution.
Required Technical Background
- Naval Electrical Plant Architecture, power distribution, switchgear, and control systems.
- Experience with MIL-STD-1399 highly desirable.
- Proficient with modeling and simulation software.
- Familiarity with Navy lifecycle logistics programs.
- Ability to oversee specialize trades.
Required Certifications
- Certified Low-Voltage Circuit Breaker Technician
- Must align with ISO-9001:2015
- Professional Engineer (Preferred)
